Kelley Brown, LPC
Kelley graduated with an undergraduate degree in Biblical Education and Minor in Counseling from Beulah Heights University. She holds a Master’s in Education and Leadership from Stayer University and a Master’s in Counseling from Argosy University. She is a member of the License Professional Counselors Association of Georgia, (LPCAGA) network and a member of a Faith Based Community Initiative where she brings awareness to destigmatize mental health. Kelley has over 20 years combined experience as a person-centered life coach, counselor and educator working with adults, teens, families and individuals with co-occurring disorders in residential and community settings. Kelley’s theoretical approaches are grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Person-Center and Gestalt Therapy. She is a certified Anger Management Specialist, a Global Mental Health First Aid Advocate and Instructor and has completed trainings in trauma, substance abuse and crisis intervention. Kelley believe in encouraging dialogue in the present tense to promote “now” awareness instead of ruminating over the past. Kelley’s objective is to assist individuals in achieving self-sufficiency by creating a safe therapeutic alliance, aiding individuals in rediscovering their authentic self and facilitating the development of coping skills for empowerment to overcome life challenges through autonomy, self-awareness, and therapeutic exercises. She teaches practical action strategies that focuses on wellness and self-care. She is the founder of Joy in Motion – Beautiful Feet Mentorship Program for teens and adults that promote creative expressions in movement using various interventions to build self-esteem and foster emotional healing. Kelley is also the author of motivational and self-help resources (Oh the Joy of Beautiful Feet workbook, I Choose Joy and The Joy of Walking in Your Own Shoes daily journals).
