Shanise Wooten, LMSW

Shanise Wooten is a Licensed Master Social Worker. Shanise received her Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Georgia Southern University and pursued her Master’s degree from Georgia State University. She has over 9 years working with Georgia’s Division of Family and Children Services. During this time, Shanise has worked with individuals who have experienced trauma, depression, and anxiety. Shanise has educated families on what are the effects of trauma along with what trauma looks like. Shanise has a passion for working with families, children, and adolescents. Shanise has experience in serving clients who come from various backgrounds and helping them through difficult challenges in life. Shanise’s therapeutic approach is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Family Therapy. Shanise believes in aiding clients in developing tools needed to deal with complicated feelings and situations. Shanise strives to build therapeutic relationships in which her clients are first and foremost feel safe, empowered, and accepted.
