Rasheid Edwards, APC

Rasheid "Coach" Edwards is an Associate Therapist and Hypnotherapist with a Master's Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from South University in Columbia, South Carolina. Rasheid is a Certified Trauma Professional and is passionate about helping people heal their traumas. Whether it be through workshops, groups or individual therapy, Rasheid packs a lot of skills in his “therapy bag.  Through hypnotherapy, he has achieved some of his most compelling successes with clients. Rasheid’s 15+ years of experience as a coach and hypnotherapist has taught him that we have unintentionally spent a lot of time programming our minds to work against us. Now it’s time to program our minds for success. Rasheid is the author of The Secret Commitment, a book outlining the 7 key concepts to goal achievement and transformation. Rasheid has recently completed a mental health book entitled, Mental Health Matters ).  As a therapist, speaker, workshop facilitator and author, Rasheid has one goal…to use the divine gifts and skills to help people heal themselves.

 Is a native of Atlanta, GA.  After graduating High School, Teresa began her undergraduate work at Tennessee State University majoring in Criminal Justice and Psychology.  After two years at Tennessee State University, Teresa put her education on hold and enlisted in the United States Army.  It was during her service in the military where Teresa became interested in Counseling after hearing the stories of some of her fellow soldiers.  Teresa returned to school and completed her undergraduate degree at Mercer University, majoring in Human Services with a concentration in Psychology and Addictions.  She also received her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Mercer University.  Teresa is a Licensed Professional Counselor, National Certified Counselor, Master Addiction Counselor, Internationally Certified Addictions Counselor, Certified Anger Management Specialist and registered DUI Clinical Evaluator with the State of GA.

Teresa’s 10 years of experience includes community based counseling, out-patient therapy, in-patient therapy and non-profit agencies where she provided individual, group and family therapy.   Teresa has worked with a broad range of clients.  Among her areas of expertise are Addictions and Trauma.  Teresa utilizes cognitive behavioral therapy along with a variety of therapeutic approaches to help her clients achieve their goals.

Teresa Bradley  LPC, NCC, MAC, CAMS

Is a graduate of Rutgers University- The State University of New Jersey. Shemaria pursued her Masters of Science from Mercer University in Clinical Mental Health, and was honored with the Chi Sig Iota Award  for academic excellence. Shemaria is a Licensed Professional Counselor, and National Certified Counselor.  She has a passion for working with adolescents, and young adults.  Shemaria’ s zeal for counseling and helping others started as a youth when she would volunteer to help foster kids and mentorship programs in New Jersey. Shemaria provides Family therapy, group therapy and individual counseling sessions while exploring the use of  CBT, DBT,  and person centered therapeutic approaches. Shemaria has experience with substance abuse counseling and has led many substance abuse youth groups. Shemaria is a humanitarian as well and  loves to travel internationally,  do mission work, and volunteering locally. She is available weekday evenings.

I truly believe that greatness lies within each of us, and it is often our challenges and life experiences that awaken the greatness within us. Sometimes people simply need to be heard, understood, and reminded of the power that lies within.

 

A native of Atlanta, Christy is a nationally-certified and licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor, transformational speaker, and author of “Yellow Tulips on A Cloudy Day”, and “Flutter: A Guide to Growing and Thriving Through Life Change.  She holds a Bachelor Degree in Marketing from Georgia Southern University and a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Mercer University.  Christy is a member of the National Board of Certified Counselors, the American Counseling Association and Chi Sigma Iota National Counseling Honor Society.  

Christy specializes in assisting adults and adolescents with overcoming life challenges; specifically, relationship issues, anxiety, depression, trauma, grief and loss. Christy is experienced in family, marriage and couples counseling, play therapy, substance abuse, and geriatric counseling. Her goal is to help clients find meaning in their life experiences and develop an authentic connection with self, to become the best version of themself and build healthy relationships with others. Christy focuses primarily on Person Centered and Cognitive Behavior Therapy to assist clients in life change.

Christy Sims, APC, NCC

A native of New York City, Erica Bell received her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and Sociology from Stony Brook University in 2006. She later obtained her Master of Science in Social Work Social Work degree from Columbia University in 2015. In May of 2018 Erica received certification as a Credentialed Advocate from the National Associate of Advocates. Currently, Erica holds dual licensure as a Master Social Worker in New York and Georgia. 

Erica’s area of specialty includes: domestic violence, sexual assault, and family services. With over 7 years of collective experience, she has provided crisis intervention, case management and individual therapy to survivors of crime and individuals living with mental health disorders. Moreover, Erica has developed a solid familiarity with children and family services, as she has operated as a Family Foster Care Supervisor within the NYC Administration for Children’s Services.

Erica is an interactive clinician who utilizes cognitive-behavioral therapy as well as dialectical behavioral therapy in her approach to working with clients. Her method of providing treatment focuses on developing a joint partnership with each client in an effort to meet therapeutic goals and create an enjoyable life that is healthy and fulfilling. She will work on a sliding scale and is available evenings during the week and on Saturdays.

Tyisha Scott, APC, CAMS,

Mrs. Scott has experience servicing clients in inpatient setting, where she provided patient care as well as assumed vital responsibilities in securing stabilization to assist with discharge. Numerous professional developments and training have equipped Mrs. Scott with the tools necessary to provide adequate clinical services including Suicide Prevention Training, Child Abuse & Neglect training, Managing Psychiatric Crisis 1:1, Culturally Competent Care training and Grief and Loss training. Mrs. Scott is a Certified Anger Management Specialist, she is trained and certified in youth mental health and continues to attend conferences to remain astute of changing practices and techniques in the evolving field of counseling. She is a proud member of (LPCAGA) Licensed Professional Counselors of Georgia Association and (GSCA) Georgia School Counselors Association. Mrs. Scott is bound ethically to abide by laws and best practices as outlined by the state of Georgia as well as ASCA (American School Counselors Association).

Mrs. Scott’s therapeutic practices are of a cognitive behavioral approach. She believes internal dialogue which often occurs needs to be addressed for progress to be made and goals to be accomplished.

Dr. LiShawnda Lindsay,Educational Psychologist,APC

Dr. LaShawnda Lindsay is a native of Jacksonville, Florida. Her goal is to provide a rich therapeutic environment for her clients to improve their quality of life. She has experience-serving clients in collegiate settings. Dr. Lindsay primarily focuses on

cognitive behavioral therapy and African centered therapeutic modalities. After receiving her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Morris Brown College, LaShawnda obtained her master’s degree in Educational Psychology from Howard University, and a doctorate in Educational Psychology from Georgia State University. She also earned a graduate certificate in Women’s Studies from Georgia State University. To make a more direct impact on individuals, she earned second master’s degree in

Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Georgia Regents University in 2015. She served as a college professor for over ten years and is currently a research scientist at Wellesley

Centers for Women. 

Dr. Lindsay is also a talented artisan and has self-published three adult color books that celebrate African American heritage and culture.

Kelley Brown, APC,MA, CAMS

Kelly holds a Master’s in Education  and a Master’s in Counseling. She is a member of the License Professional Counselors Association of Georgia and a member of a Faith Based Community Initiative where she brings awareness to destigmatize mental health. Kelley has over 20 years combined experience as a person-centered life coach, counselor and educator working with adults, teens, families and individuals. Kelley’s theoretical approaches are grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Person-Center and Gestalt Therapy. She is a certified Anger Management Specialist, a Global Mental Health First Aid Advocate and Instructor and has completed trainings in trauma, substance abuse and crisis intervention. Kelley believe in encouraging dialogue in the present tense to promote “now” awareness instead of ruminating over the past.
